Cookie Policy
This is a draft prepared for review. It must be checked against Stampora’s actual legal entity, registered address, operating jurisdiction, tax registration and fulfilment practices by a qualified lawyer before the store accepts real orders.
Cookies keep your cart working, tell us which parts of the stamps builder break, and let us measure advertising. Only the first of those runs without your permission. This page lists what we use, why, and how to switch things off.
Read alongside the Privacy Policy.
1. What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file a website stores on your device. It lets the site recognise your browser on the next page or the next visit. This policy also covers technologies that behave like cookies: local storage, session storage, tracking pixels, web beacons, software development kits and server side event forwarding. Where this page says “cookie”, read it as covering all of those.
First party cookies are set by stampora.com. Third party cookies are set by another company whose code runs on our pages, such as an analytics or advertising provider. Session cookies disappear when you close the browser. Persistent cookies stay until they expire or you clear them.
2. Your choices
When you first arrive, a consent banner asks what you allow. Strictly necessary cookies load either way, because the store cannot function without them. Everything else stays off until you accept it.
- Change your mind at any time. Open the cookie settings link in the site footer and update your choices. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.
- Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as an opt out of sharing for cross context behavioural advertising.
- Browser controls. Every major browser can block or delete cookies in its settings. Blocking all cookies will break the cart and the checkout.
- Platform controls. Google, Meta, TikTok and Microsoft each publish their own ad and analytics opt outs, which apply across every site using them.
Your consent choice is itself recorded in a cookie so we do not have to ask on every page. That record is kept as evidence of consent.
3. Categories we use
3.1 Strictly necessary
These run without consent because the store would not work otherwise. They hold your cart, keep you logged in, protect forms against cross site request forgery, route traffic through our host, and pass fraud signals to the payment providers during checkout.
3.2 Functional
These remember preferences: your currency, your language, whether you dismissed a notice, and design progress saved in the stamps builder so you can come back to an unfinished stamp.
3.3 Analytics
These count visits and show us where people abandon the builder or the checkout. We use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity. Clarity also reconstructs anonymised session recordings and heatmaps.
3.4 Advertising
These measure which campaigns produce orders and let us show ads to people who visited the store. We use Google Ads, Meta and TikTok. These providers may combine what they receive here with data they already hold about you.
4. Cookie inventory
The tables below list what the store is configured to set. Names and durations follow what each provider publishes and can change when a provider updates its own code, so treat the durations as indicative and re-scan the live site before launch.

5. Server side tracking
Some measurement does not happen in your browser. When you consent to advertising, our server can send conversion events directly to Google, Meta and TikTok, using their conversion and events APIs. Where a hashed email address or phone number is included in that event, it is hashed before it leaves our systems and is used to match your order to an ad click. This is described here because it does the same job as a pixel, even though it does not set a cookie on your device. Refusing advertising consent turns it off.
6. What happens if you refuse
You can browse, design a stamp, pay and receive your order with only strictly necessary cookies active. Refusing functional cookies means preferences and unfinished designs are not remembered. Refusing analytics means we cannot see which steps fail, which slows down fixes. Refusing advertising means you still see ads elsewhere, they are just less relevant and we cannot connect them to orders.
7. Cookies and international transfers
Google, Meta, TikTok and Microsoft process data outside the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area, including in the United States. The safeguards we rely on for those transfers are set out in section 8 of the Privacy Policy.
8. Changes to this policy
We re-scan the site when we add or remove a tool, and update this page when the inventory changes. The version on this page is always the current one.
9. Questions
Do I have to accept cookies to buy a stamp?
No. Strictly necessary cookies are enough to complete an order. Everything else is optional.
How do I change my choice after accepting?
Open the cookie settings link in the site footer and update your preferences. The change applies straight away, and any tag you switch off stops loading on the next page.
Does Stampora sell my data through these cookies?
We do not sell personal information for money. Sharing identifiers with advertising platforms counts as sharing for cross context behavioural advertising under California law, and you can opt out through the consent banner, the footer control or a Global Privacy Control signal.
Are session recordings watching me type?
Microsoft Clarity is configured to mask input fields, so what you type into forms is not captured. It records movement, clicks and scrolling so we can see where a page confuses people.
Do cookies see my order details?
No. order details are handled by our order system and go to the print supplier. Analytics and advertising tools receive events about your visit, not your image files.
Who do I contact about cookies?
Email support@stampora.us and put “cookies” in the subject line.
Set your preferences, then get on with the fun part.
