About Stampora
Stampora is an online stamp store. We stock genuine United States Postal Service Forever stamps, organised by subject so you can actually find the design you are looking for, and we ship them to you in the condition a collector expects.
The idea
A postage stamp is a small piece of national design work. Someone commissioned it, someone illustrated it, someone decided this subject was worth putting into circulation and into the hands of millions of people. Then most of them get stuck on an envelope and thrown away, and the rest quietly go out of print.
Buying a specific stamp issue is harder than it should be. A post office counter carries whatever is current, in whatever quantity they happen to have. Once an issue is out of general circulation, finding it means trawling auction listings and hoping the seller describes condition honestly. There was no straightforward way to look at a wall of designs, pick the one you wanted, and have it arrive intact.
That is the whole business. A catalogue you can browse by subject, honest description, careful packing, and a checkout that takes two minutes.
What we sell
Genuine USPS Forever stamps, unused, with full original gum and clean perforations. Eleven collections covering flags, flowers, animals, nature, holidays, celebrations, cartoons, art and culture, and the people and history series. Most issues are books of 20, with other formats listed on the product page where they exist. Prices start at $27.99.
What we are not
Stampora is not the United States Postal Service. We are an independent retailer. We are not affiliated with, authorised by, endorsed by, licensed by or acting as an agent of the USPS or any government agency. Nothing on this site should be read as an official Postal Service communication.
We do not design, print, customise or personalise stamps, and we do not accept uploaded artwork or photographs. Every stamp sold here is an issue that already exists, produced by the USPS, and we are simply the shop that stocks it.
We sell above face value. That is what a retailer does, and we would rather write it here than let you work it out at checkout. You are paying for sourcing, verification, handling, packaging, delivery and access to issues that are no longer available over a counter. If face value with no premium is what you need, buy directly from the USPS or your local post office. We will not be offended.
How we describe things
Product pages state the issue, the format and the quantity. If something is a book of 20, it says a book of 20. We do not use stock photography that implies you are getting more than you are, we do not describe common issues as rare, and we do not invent scarcity to move stock.
The reviews page is empty because the store is new and nobody has written one yet. It will stay empty until real customers have real stamps in hand. Testimonials that appear before a store has customers are fabricated, and a store that fabricates those will fabricate a condition grade too.
If something goes wrong
Stamps are small, flat and easy to damage in transit, so occasionally an order will arrive in a state we would not accept ourselves. When that happens it is ours to fix. Tell us and we will replace or refund it under the terms set out on the returns and refunds page.
